Police have recovered the body of an unidentified vagrant man, 65, from the footpath beside Ramna Park in the capital.
Ramna Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Tanvir Hasan said that, on receiving information, the man’s body was recovered at around 11:15am on Friday (18 September) from the footpath beside Ramna Park, opposite the NSI headquarters under the police station.
He said the part of the man’s body below the waist had begun to decompose. It is thought that he died after being ill for a long time. The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
SI Tanvir Hasan further said efforts are on to identify the deceased. The remaining legal procedures are also under way.
