October 2026 is undoubtedly turning into one of the most memorable months of Gilberto Mora’s life. World football’s megastar Lionel Messi has picked him as part of the ‘Messi +10’ campaign. This global Adidas campaign has brought together 10 rising football talents from different corners of the world. Through it, Mora, a midfielder of the Mexican club Xolos de Tijuana, has found a place on the Argentine star’s list of favourite young talents.
Along with the honour came a special gift. He has been given a pair of Adidas F50 football boots from the ‘Futbol e Familia’ edition.
The boot, made in a combination of pink, white and black, carries Messi’s official logo on its tongue, which has made the gift even more special for the young footballer.
Delighted at being selected for the campaign, Mora, a player of the Mexican club Tijuana Xolos, has thanked Messi and Adidas on Instagram. At the same time he has highlighted how meaningful the opportunity is to him.
Mora wrote, ‘It is an honour to be part of Messi +10. Thank you @leomessi and @adidasfootball for choosing me. Playing in the boots you have given me will be like a dream come true.’
This recognition is one of the important achievements of his career. Gilberto Mora, meanwhile, turned 18 on 14 October. Turning 18 has opened the door to new possibilities in his professional football career.
These include the prospect of joining a club in Europe. His fans are thrilled at such possibilities over Mora’s future.
