Temporary rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty or squally wind at a maximum speed of 60 kilometres per hour may occur over six regions of the country.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department said this in a forecast given for the inland river ports from 9am to 6pm on Thursday.
The forecast says temporary rain or thundershowers with gusty or squally wind at a speed of 45 to 60 kilometres per hour from the south or south-east may occur over the Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Faridpur and Madaripur regions. River ports in these areas have been asked to show cautionary signal No 1.
