Moha Harun-Or-Rashid, a joint secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, has been given the additional charge of director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. He will perform this duty until a regular director general joins.
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs gave this information in an office order issued on 21 September.
According to the order, while performing the duty he will carry out, in compliance with the rules, the administrative work, including the financial expenditure necessary for running the academy’s day-to-day activities and payment of the employees’ salaries and allowances.
Earlier, on 21 September 2025, the government had appointed poet Rezauddin Stalin to the post of director general on a one-year contract. The post fell vacant as that tenure ended on 21 September this year.
