The Swedish government is offering fully funded scholarships to international students interested in postgraduate study in Sweden. Students from 42 countries, a list that includes Bangladesh, can apply for the ‘SI Scholarship for Global Professionals 2027’ run by the Swedish Institute (SI).
The scholarship will be awarded for one- or two-year master’s programmes at various Swedish universities. Those selected will receive full tuition fees, monthly living costs and a travel grant. Funded by the Swedish government’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the scholarship aims to develop skilled professionals and future international leaders.
The scholarship covers study in a range of subjects at various institutions. Talented students with professional experience and leadership ability are particularly encouraged to apply.

⬤ Full tuition fees for the master’s programme.

How to apply
Before applying for the scholarship, applicants must first apply for admission to their chosen master’s programme at a Swedish university. The deadline is 15 January 2027.
After submitting the admission application, the candidate will receive an application number. This number is needed for the SI scholarship application, so it must be kept carefully.
Once the admission application is complete, the scholarship application must be made on the Swedish Institute’s designated online portal from 8 to 24 February 2027, along with the required documents. The institute’s guidelines must be followed when applying.
