Actress Katrina Kaif had been facing various comments and trolling on social media over her weight gain after childbirth. Now Bollywood star Salman Khan has spoken out against that criticism. He has been showered with praise in the online world ever since his remarks spread.
Bringing up Katrina in the ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode of ‘Bigg Boss 20’, Salman said gaining weight after childbirth is very normal. There is no reason to troll a woman over her physical changes after pregnancy. When Katrina returns to films, she will return fit in her own way. For now, giving time to her family is what is important for her.
When a video clip of these remarks by Salman spread on social media, fresh discussion about him began. Many praised the actor using the popular Gen Z word ‘pookie’, while some also termed him a ‘green flag’.
Salman spoke not only about the trolling over Katrina’s physical changes, but also about the various kinds of taunts aimed at stars online. He also commented on his own age. On being 60, the actor said it is not possible to always remain as one was at the time of the film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’.
At one stage, addressing the trolls, Salman took off his shirt and cap in front of the camera, wiped off his make-up and showed his natural look. He also criticised the paparazzi for taking ‘inappropriate’ photos of various parts of actresses’ bodies.
At one time there was widespread discussion in Bollywood about the relationship between Salman and Katrina. That relationship later came to an end. After that Katrina got into a relationship with actor Vicky Kaushal and they married in 2021. The couple became parents of their first child last November.
