Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman has said the government will formulate exactly the kind of law that the people of the country expect.
He said this at a discussion organised on the occasion of US Constitution Day at Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday morning.
The law minister said the Cyber Security Act will be amended keeping in mind that, alongside ensuring freedom of expression (freedom of speech), no person’s dignity is harmed.
He further said the government will bring the kind of law that people want. Earlier, the opinions of people from various classes and professions, including media editors, were taken on the law.
Md Asaduzzaman said the new Cyber Security Act will also take into consideration the matter that no one can spread disinformation online in the name of journalism.
