After a long 15 years, Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor are coming to the screen together again. Since the film ‘Ra.One’, released in 2011, this popular Bollywood pair has not been seen together in any full-fledged project. This time they are appearing together in a special song of Shah Rukh’s much-awaited film ‘King’.
It is learnt that the probable title of the song, composed by Sachin-Jigar, is ‘Daddy Cool’. Shah Rukh and Kareena are scheduled to shoot the song for five days at a stretch in South Africa towards the end of this month.
A Pinkvilla report said the song is being made on quite a large scale. Alongside Indian artistes, it may also feature the voice of an international-level music star. Shah Rukh and Kareena will be seen in a completely different get-up and look in the song. The makers expect that it will become one of the most talked-about songs of this year and come before the audience as one of the biggest surprises of ‘King’.
The old chemistry of the Shah Rukh-Kareena pair is also quite popular with audiences. They have acted together in films such as ‘Asoka’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and ‘Ra.One’. Besides, Kareena was also seen with Shah Rukh in guest appearances in the films ‘Don’ and ‘Billu’.
Fans are naturally elated at the news of the two stars’ reunion after a long break. In particular, their chemistry in songs such as ‘Chammak Challo’ and ‘Criminal’ from ‘Ra.One’ is still etched in the minds of audiences.
‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand, is being made on a big budget. Shah Rukh Khan is in the lead role in this film, which has a budget of around Rs 350 crore. His daughter Suhana Khan is making her big-screen debut with this very film.
Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal and Abhay Verma are also acting in the film. There is a plan to release the film worldwide on 24 December on the occasion of Christmas.
