Tania Brishty had been away from acting for a long time. In the meantime, she has come through a difficult chapter of life. Brain surgery, then chemotherapy — all in all, the period was not at all easy for the actress. But, leaving the hard times behind, she is now dreaming of slowly returning to normal life. Coming on Facebook Live after a long nine months, she said she wants to return to shooting again.
Tania suddenly fell ill in mid-February this year. After tests, a tumour was detected in her brain. It was removed through surgery in February itself. Later, on 9 March, she went to Chennai in India for advanced treatment. She had to undergo two more operations there. Because of her physical illness, the actress could not even speak properly for a long time. After that she was receiving treatment while staying at home.
After the long break, Tania came on Facebook Live on Saturday and spoke to her fans. At the very start she spoke of her physical condition, saying she is now much better than before. She also said her weight has increased because of the surgery.
Answering various questions from fans on the live, Tania said her chemotherapy is still continuing. Three months of the six-month treatment have already been completed. But alongside the treatment, she is also preparing to return to acting.
On returning to acting, Tania said, ‘I certainly want to return to acting. My wish is to start from this very month. Talks are going on accordingly.’
In these words of hers, fans seemed to get a hint of the end of a long wait. She was away from acting throughout the entire period of her illness. Tania said it is the love of the audience that is giving her the courage to return to work again.
She said, ‘I might not have come back at all, such was my physical condition. Now, Alhamdulillah, I am better than before. I will act, because the audience want me. I myself miss acting a lot too.’
The actress is currently spending her days following the doctor’s advice. Most of her time is spent with her pet cats. Even when she goes somewhere outside, they keep her company. She said these pets also helped her stay mentally well during the long treatment.
Tania has also expressed gratitude to the fans who stood by her during the long, difficult nine months. The love of the viewers who regularly prayed for her and are waiting for her return to acting has touched her.
Finally, seeking prayers from her fans, Tania said, ‘Please pray for me. Many people wanted to know how I am. That is why I came on live. Stay well, everyone.’
