‘Aim of war is not nuclear weapons but seizing resources’ – Iran’s letter to Americans

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has sent a long letter of several dozen pages addressed to US citizens. In it, US President Donald Trump has been termed a ‘big liar’. It has been said the main purpose of the letter is to convey the real facts to ordinary Americans.

IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi said they have no intention of influencing the upcoming US election. According to him, this war of the United States against Iran is not actually about nuclear weapons, because Washington itself knows Iran is not seeking to build nuclear weapons. Rather, their real aim is to loot Iran’s resources, break up the country and build a colony under their own control.

Journalist Mohamed Vall reported from Tehran that it will take some time to read and understand this long letter in full. However, this much is clear that a direct message has been given to Americans through the letter.

The letter says many American citizens are not fully aware of the things the US government and military are doing. According to Hossein Mohebbi, the US military operation in the Middle East has failed and they should leave this region. He said such a situation is also damaging the image of the United States around the world.

The last part of the letter calls for creating a platform or environment for direct dialogue between the American and Iranian people.
