Rain accompanied by thunder may occur in the capital Dhaka and adjacent areas by noon, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said. Wind may blow at a maximum speed of 15 kilometres per hour during this time.
This information was given in a forecast for the next six hours from 7:00am on Friday.
According to the forecast, the sky may remain partly cloudy to temporarily overcast. Rain or thundershowers may occur temporarily. Wind may blow from the south or south-east at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour. The day temperature may rise slightly.
Meanwhile, the temperature in Dhaka at 6:00am was 27.2 degrees Celsius and the humidity in the air was 83 per cent. Dhaka recorded 12 millimetres of rain in the past 24 hours.
