Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has taken part in a meeting called on public transport management in Dhaka metropolitan city.
The meeting began with him in the chair at the Cabinet Division at the Bangladesh Secretariat this morning, Thursday (8 October).
Present at the meeting are Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam, State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam, State Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Habibur Rashid, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister ABM Abdus Sattar, Local Government Division Secretary Md Shahidul Hasan, Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority Executive Director Mohammad Moshiur Rahman, Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary Dr Mohammad Ziaul Haque and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, among others.
Discussions are under way at the meeting on various aspects of public transport management in the capital, ensuring safety on roads and removing the ongoing disorder in public transport.
