Student seriously injured after falling from ninth floor of DU’s Jagannath Hall

A student has been seriously injured after falling from the ninth floor of Santosh Bhaban of Dhaka University’s (DU) Jagannath Hall. The name of the injured student could not be known.
The incident took place after 12 midnight on Sunday (4 October). Later, students of the hall rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
It has been learnt that the student is studying in the 2025-26 session of DU’s Development Studies department and his home is in Khulna. How he fell is not yet known. He is currently undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
According to the students who rescued him, the student did not fall directly onto the ground; he fell on the roof of the hall’s vegetarian mess.
