Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat has paid a surprise visit to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
During the visit on Friday night, the minister went round the airport’s luggage belt area and talked to passengers waiting for their luggage.
He wanted to know how long it was taking to get luggage after getting off the plane and about passengers’ experience of the luggage delivery operation. At this time the passengers expressed satisfaction with the airport’s baggage delivery management and also conveyed their satisfaction at getting their luggage within the stipulated time.
The minister laid emphasis on further improving the standard of passenger service. He gave instructions to give the highest priority to passengers’ comfort and satisfaction in the overall operations of the airport. He also directed that the number of trolleys be increased quickly for the convenience of passengers.
The airport officials concerned and the persons in charge were present during the visit.
