After remaining shut for two days, all services of Q-Cash including ATM, card and POS have resumed at 30 banks. IT Consultants PLC (ITC), the company that operates Q-Cash, gave this information on Tuesday (6 October) night.
Earlier, various card and transaction services of around 30 banks were shut down after 9:00pm on Sunday (4 October) due to a system migration of the Q-Cash network. Along with ATM, POS and card transactions, some interbank transactions were also disrupted.
Bangladesh Bank summoned the management authorities of Q-Cash, directing them to restore the services quickly. Then, on Tuesday night itself, Q-Cash said all services under it had returned to normal.
Bank Asia also said in a text message that its ATM, card, POS, NPSB, e-commerce and QR services are fully operational and customers will be able to carry out transactions normally.
