Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, adviser to the prime minister and acting secretary general of BNP, has warned that no one will be spared if fascism resurges. He said this at a discussion meeting at the Jatiya Press Club on Thursday afternoon.
Rizvi said no one will survive if fascism comes back; if it is repeated, the state itself will not last. He alleged that opposition party leaders are now using disrespectful language towards leaders of the ruling party, which is the very language of fascism.
The BNP acting secretary general said not only executioners, but Mir Jafars too have taken position all around. He alleged that instructions are being given over telephone from the neighbouring country to plant bombs, take photos and send them, after which payment of money is also being promised.
On the opposition’s programmes, he said holding programmes is their right. There needs to be freedom of speech and the opportunity to hold peaceful programmes. Unlike Sheikh Hasina’s government, this government did not obstruct the opposition’s long march.
Rizvi called on everyone to remain united on the question of fascism, however many differences there may be between the government and the opposition. He said that even if there is criticism or sarcasm on various issues, no one will be spared without mutual communication and unity.
