An 18-month-old child named Arafat has died by drowning in Kutubdia of Cox’s Bazar. When the child was taken to hospital at 10:05am on Thursday (17 September), the on-duty doctor examined him and declared him dead.
The deceased Arafat is the son of Mahamudul Karim, a resident of the Bidyut Market area of Kutubdia upazila.
Physician Dr Asma Sultana said the child had been brought to the hospital dead.
