The ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’ is being held every Friday at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. After the response of four consecutive weeks and the interest of buyers and sellers, this car buying and selling event was held in the fifth week too yesterday, Friday.
New cars imported by Asian Imports were a new addition to the fair yesterday. Alongside new cars, interest in old cars has also increased among buyers, for which reason the time and scope of the fair have also increased. The fair will continue until 8pm.
Organised at the joint initiative of Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, this car bazar used to begin at 10am every Friday and continue until 7pm. The organisers said people’s interest in this bazar is increasing day by day as there is an opportunity to see and buy and sell new, reconditioned and used cars in one place. The time of the fair has been extended by one hour as a huge response has been received from buyers and sellers.
Rows upon rows of cars catch the eye as soon as one enters the Super Sale Car Bazar. New cars are on one side, reconditioned cars on the other, and used cars have been kept on the opposite side. Many of these cars were in personal use; the owners have brought them to the bazar with a plan to buy new cars by selling the old ones. Although the fair began with 127 cars at first, the number of cars stood at 360 in the fifth week yesterday.
Going round the bazar yesterday, it was seen that some were making enquiries to buy a new car, while others were checking various aspects of used cars. Before buying the car of their choice, many were comparing the models, prices and features of several cars. Cars priced from Tk 6.5 lakh to around Tk 3.5 crore were seen at the bazar this time. Alongside prices, sellers have also kept various offers to attract buyers.
Officials of Asian Imports said new EV cars have been brought to the fair this time giving importance to the preferences and demand of buyers. Two types of EV cars – Japanese and Chinese – are available, and reconditioned cars are also to be found alongside.
Mehedi Hasan Molla, brand and marketing manager of ICCB, said, ‘After the successful event in the last four weeks, our fair is now running in the fifth week. We are already getting an ample response. More than 350 cars came yesterday. As the response of buyers and sellers is greater compared to the last four weeks, the time of the fair has been extended by one hour and it will continue until 8pm.’
