Admitting wrong decision under outside influence, Akriti gets back together with Prithvi Shaw

They took the wrong decision to break off their engagement and separate because they were influenced by the opinions and persuasion of outsiders: Akriti Agarwal, fiancée of Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw, admitted this in a candid statement on Instagram recently. After clearing up all misunderstandings and talking openly with each other, the celebrity couple have decided to move forward together again; past the rift, their relationship has been mended.

In a statement on Instagram titled ‘A personal clarification’, Akriti openly explained what caused the distance in the relationship. She wrote that when deciding to break off the engagement, the opinions of some people close to her had influenced her mind; those people had behaved as if they knew Prithvi and Akriti’s relationship better than the two of them. Akriti realises that she was misled, and that without the two of them talking openly, they had hastily taken a decision their relationship did not deserve.

Taking full responsibility for the decision, Akriti said she regrets the emotional pain caused by the episode. She wrote that since then the two have talked openly, understood each other and decided to be together again. The two of them are enough for each other and need no one else in their lives. She wants their future from now on to be guided by their own understanding, trust and love.

She also requested that everyone respect their decision at the start of this new journey.

Notably, Prithvi Shaw and Akriti Agarwal formally announced their engagement in March this year. The star cricketer had told fans about the relationship by sharing some sweet photos of the engagement ceremony on social media. But shortly afterwards, in July, speculation began over a mysterious post by Akriti. Seeing that post about cheating, many assumed she was probably hinting at Prithvi. Akriti later clarified, however, that the post was not about Prithvi but was written with her friends in mind.

Then last September, Akriti suddenly announced the break-up in another emotional message. At the time she said that because of different goals for their future lives and surrounding circumstances, they had chosen to separate with heavy hearts. However, their fans are relieved that the couple have finally got back together, overcoming all adversity and misunderstandings.
