The sixth episode of the Super Sale Car Bazaar, held every Friday at the Expo Village of International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), has again drawn a large crowd. Despite continuous rain in the capital, this car trading event did not stop; the bazaar has come alive with the spontaneous participation of buyers and sellers. Because of the strong interest among buyers, the event’s hours have also been extended.
Buyers and sellers can trade all three types of cars here in one place: new, reconditioned and used. Wizard Showbiz and ICCB have jointly organised the bazaar. Continuing the success of the previous five weeks, the whole event became vibrant in the sixth week as well with the presence of car lovers.
Although it rained all day yesterday, the scene inside ICCB’s Expo Village was a busy one. Some were focused on looking at the cars they liked and some were bargaining with sellers, while others were busy finding out what bank loan facilities are available for buying a car. Defying the adverse weather, sellers arrived with their cars from various parts of the country. The turnout of buyers and visitors was also notable.
Besides cars, the Super Sale Car Bazaar also offers the opportunity to buy and sell motorcycles. Buyers can choose the vehicle they prefer here. Sellers, on the other hand, can sell their own used cars or motorcycles without the mediation of any broker.
The organisers say that, in the conventional way, buyers have to go around various showrooms to see cars, which costs both time and effort. At the Super Sale Car Bazaar, that hassle has been reduced considerably. New, old and reconditioned cars from different companies can be seen here under one roof. As a result, buyers get the experience of visiting about 50 showrooms while staying in one place.
They further said that, as the Expo Village is air-conditioned, neither sun nor rain is getting in the way of viewing or trading cars. One of the main aims of the event is to ensure a comfortable environment for buyers and sellers and, along with that, to create the opportunity for broker-free transactions.
ICCB’s Brand and Marketing Manager Mehedi Hasan Molla told Bangladesh Pratidin, ‘The sixth episode of our “Super Sale Car Bazaar” is under way, which has been running for almost the past month and a half. Although it rained heavily all day from the morning, the stormy weather outside had no negative impact on the car bazaar, as there was an excellent environment under one roof at ICCB’s Expo Village. Despite the adverse weather, a large number of buyers, visitors and sellers took part spontaneously.’
Mehedi Hasan Molla further said that, as the presence of buyers and visitors increases towards the evening in Dhaka, the event’s time has been extended by one hour. The Super Sale Car Bazaar is now officially running every Friday from 11am to 8pm.
