The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) last raised gold prices in the domestic market on Wednesday. The price of the best quality or 22-carat gold has been raised by Tk 2,216 per bhori (11.664 grams). With this, the price of one bhori of good quality gold, including VAT, stands at Tk 2,30,772.
The new price took effect from 10:00am that day. Gold will be sold at the same price today, Friday, as well.
According to the new prices, the price of 22-carat gold, including VAT, has been fixed at Tk 2,30,772 per bhori after an increase of Tk 2,216. Besides, the price of one bhori of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 2,20,391, one bhori of 18-carat at Tk 1,89,248 after an increase of Tk 1,808 and traditional-method gold at Tk 1,54,256 per bhori after an increase of Tk 1,108.
