Rashed Khan, political assistant to the prime minister, has said Ferdousi Ahmed Misty, member of parliament from a reserved women’s seat, is going to resign. He claims Misty will submit her resignation letter to the speaker on the prime minister’s instruction.
Rashed Khan gave this information in a post on his verified Facebook page on Thursday.
In the post he said reserved women’s seat MP Ferdousi Ahmed Misty is going to resign on the instruction of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. BNP does not shelter any criminal and takes appropriate action if a crime is proved – this has been proved once again.
However, Rashed Khan raised a question as Jamaat did not compel member of parliament Gazi Nazrul to resign. He said if Jamaat Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman had also compelled Jamaat MP Gazi Nazrul Islam to resign, then perhaps little girl Mariam would not have had to leave the world.
He said a single decision of the prime minister will be enough regarding those who will make ill attempts to tarnish the image of the prime minister and those who will engage in misdeeds by trading on the party’s name for their own interest. He also called for cooperation in implementing the plan the prime minister has taken up thinking of the country and the people.
Rashed Khan also commented that there is no scope for the initiatives and good work of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to be tarnished by the crime of any individual and he will not give that scope.
